    This guidance, aimed at environmental regulators and radioactive substance users, details the rationale underpinning the exemption regime for England, Wales and Northern Ireland (Scotland is not covered due to the devolved administration). Update 13 September 2019 - note that the individual guidance notes that were produced in 2011 have now been withdrawn. We are waiting for guidance to be issued by Scotland.
