We have begun to undertake a full update of information contained within the Ionactive website. The site has always been biased towards information provision rather than commercial. However, over the last couple of years it has become more difficult to find the time to keep the information refreshed. A decision has been taken that this can no longer continue and therefore new advice, guidance and resource on all aspects of radiation protection and radioactive waste will be added on a more regular basis.
As an example, we have just added some new resource on Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM) – this will be presented in a number of parts (parts 1 and 2 are already uploaded ready for viewing).
Another example: we have just added some a new FAQ 'Difference between a Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA) and a Radioactive Waste Adviser (RWA)'
