BIL Solutions

BIL Solutions offers personal dosimetry services through its Berkeley-based facility in Gloucestershire UK. BIL Solutions provides services for the assessment of whole body dose using electronic dosimeters or film badges. Skin and extremity dosimetry is provided using thermo-luminescent dosimeters (TLD's) and whole body neutron dosimetry using thermo-luminescent Albedo dosimeters. They appear to be tailored primarily for the UK nuclear industry.

European Radiation Dosimetry Group

EURADOS (European Radiation Dosimetry Group) supports the collaboration between European laboratories in the field of dosimetry of ionising radiation.

Global Dosimetry Solutions

This link takes you to Global Dosimetry Solutions (GDS), a major world player in radiation dosimetry services. The company is based in the U.S. with offices throughout the world, offering services to hospitals, medical and dental practices, veterinary clinics, university and national laboratories, nuclear power plants, homeland security organizations, and other specialized industries. GDS can offer an ADS service in the UK using the full range of dosimetry including film, TLD and track etch technology. They provide an extensive online service which allows dosimetry to be ordered, cancelled and offers the ability to obtain personal dosimetry data directly.

HPA Personal Dosimetry Service

This link used to take you to the NRPB - but they are no more. The Health Protection Agency (HPA)has incorporated NRPB but the services appear to be the same. The HPA provide a host of personal monitoring sytems including TLD, Film Badge, extremity dosimeter, PADC neutron monitoring and radon dosemeters. We have clients who use their services.

Landauer

This link takes you to the UK website of Landauer. The website is not that impressive but they say about themselves: 'Landauer is the leading provider of analytical services to determine personnel exposure to occupational and environmental radiation hazards in the workplace and home. For 40 years the company has provided radiation dosimetry services to hospitals, medical and dental offices, university and national laboratories, nuclear power plants and other industries in which radiation poses a potential threat to employees.' We know of clients who use this company and have been pleased with the service.

NUKEM Dosimetry Service

This is a link to the NUKEM Dosimetry Service page - page appears to be more oriented to advertising a range of services rather than specifically dosimetry (but we are happy to oblige....) They are an approved dosimetry service (ADS) and we believe they use Landauer dosimeters.
