We are particularly interested in the LB 125 which is a portable gamma-spectrometer for applications in the laboratory and in the field. It provides NaI spectroscopy which can be used to search, localize, identify and measure radioactive materials.

This site must have the best introductory sound effect of all the radiation related sites we have visited! GeigerCounters.com is based in the US (but can supply to the UK). They have an interesting range of radiation detectors, most of which have dual display (mR and microSv). The 'Inspector' pocket Geiger counter is interesting - it even has a built in moveable wipe test plate.

Thermo Electron Corporation appears to have the market share in the supply of radiation and contamination equipment. Their website is extensive but can be quite daunting for the casual visitors as it's so vast. We therefore land you on their Survey Instruments Page. It is quite likely that you will find anything you want with the pages of this site. Thermo supply the full range of radiation and contamination survey instrumentation, individual probes and similar. The site also provides quite extensive information for those trying to acquire technical details for equipment they already own.
